When One Door Closes

I made it across the globe

Thought I’d die in the silence, but it’s not centerfold

I missed a million pieces of your heart

Standing in the sea’s part

Rowed me a boat, and left you to beach

Thought I’d wait for your request to beseech

But my skirts are wet, and my ears are dry

Saved me from the urge to cry

I’m never left behind when the roads ahead

Drink me no wine, when there’s this much bread
