I didn’t know the air would be this fresh on the other side of death 

I didn’t know my lungs could still hold this much breath 


If I broke and fell and died again 

If I healed and rose and lived then 

Maybe I would not jump through the gate

But this time I’d lay a little longer in the hands of fate
