Blurry

I’ve missed you in our old snow globes

Where the flurries no longer have footholds

Nostalgia’s been patient, I know

But we still have room to grow

I’ve made memories in your absence

I wish nothing could compare to what we had once

But the truth is, footprints layer like sediment

And time blurs the feelings of sentiment

I thought we’d make it out, I thought we did

But I’ve turned green in the time between
