When and Was

I feel like you’ve been checked out for so long

I don’t know where you’ve gone

The house hums when it used to sing

The solitude soothes when it used to sting

I’ve been brave for so long, now my cape wears thin

And clarity seeks me through the din

Our bed was built for two

Now its shades of red have been washed with blue
