One Layer from Our Last Life

Shards of the inferno leaking from my eyes

Save me from the end times

I’ve been brave, I know

But Father Time and Mother Earth never divorced us the space to live

If not here on the ground or there in the sky… what place can we carve for ourselves?

Til death do us

Part the seas

Souls of broken glass

But with you, home at last

Maybe we’ll never be perfect for each other in this life

Maybe we’ll stay hands on the pendulum of time

But I miss you still

You hurt me, I savour the marks

The last place you held me

The hand prints on my skin

I can smell the perfume still

If not this life, maybe the next

If not the next, hold me when the world ends
